How are the Youts?
I love and miss you. How are da youts? Dai all b-haivin? Thank you so much for writing to me. I feel like my Portuguese is really improving and I can't wait to get out of here. I'm halfway done with the MTC. I can't wait to get out and baptize some people! The best part of being at the MTC is the language and that we got to hear Elder Holland speak in person. Sorry bout da photos I will try to do better. I am so excited about the cookies and pictures and stuff. Elder actually is Elder its pronounced sorta like eldere and the plural is elderes so...
OH YEA ask bishop miller to do the brazil finger snap thing he will know what you mean and i can do it pretty well now so watch out. Glad you had good talks I gave one yesterday and it was 5 mins all "free style" yea booooy I got so many compliments on my portuguese, it really made me feel good. I can easily say a decent sized prayer in portuguese and we have been teaching for approximately 4-5 weeks and we are getting better, one of our two "investigators" has agreed to be baptized and to try living the law of chastity for a week! baby steps. So yea we are getting better at teaching, my district is now the second oldest district in the the branch :(. Mozambique...ok so the way I understand it in Portugal they speak portuguese, with me so far, in brazil they speak semi-ghetto portuguese, and in Mozambique and Angola they speak ebonics portuguese according to a returned missionary here, they take some english words and through ar at the end and its a verb! Gymar = to go work out, Jobar = to go to work...stuff like that lol. I am soooo excited about your room thats gonna be awesome when it is totally done. Is there any way you could send me Lori's E-mail? There was an elder her who got a package with his fav salad thing still warm after lunch one day and i think it would be way awesome if i could get something like that lol, but seriously I have a "burger" every day (not exagerating) and I would like to remember what a real burger tastes like you know? Anyhow not a whole ton to talk about...spend most of my time studying and learning so...but i would just like to say that I have grown more here than I thought possible and it only gets better when you get in the field so...WOOHOO can't wait to get out of here!!!!!!

Learning Portuguese
ok the format on this thing is sooooo messed up but I will try to respond to what i think was moms email.
1. Yes meu companheiro is going 2 mozambique, and there are 3 others going 2 mozambique and i have met 2 elders going to florida to speak portuguese and i met one elder headed to california speaking cambodian...lol.
2. All the elders i have met that are going to mozambique are going with me :). They said there is going to be a 10 HOUR lay over in london :().
3. I would like duct tape()don't remeber why but it was a good reason.
4. Nope no stories, I am a spiritual zombie(you can put that on my blog) I eat sleep learn and teach...that is it, oh and i wrestled someone today and walked away feeling like i had been hit by a truck, last week i ran for 30 mins straight on an alyptical and i now way 146..5 pounds so do u have any record of my weight pre mission?
5. Ok spiritual experience...ummm i have learned enough portuguese to maybe have written most of this letter in portuguese without help hows that for the gift of tongues?
And Dad I am soooooo sorry thank you so much for eveything again I just can't think about everyone i need to thank and write and I am so sorry i forgot you please forgive me i love you! ;).. Oh and thank you for your letter I know you sent it for ever ago but I am just now getting around to thanking you for sending it I don't remeber whatn it said but i remeber it really helped me keep getting along.

I love you! You rock and I miss you so much. I have seen Joe and Ben but they are gone now and I have so much longer here. Haven't really used the Tony's much. The scripture study... I love it we read through pretty much every battle that Teancum participated in... pretty awesome just saying, if you want an awesome story about one warrior, it would definitely be him.
It's great that Elizabeth got Jessica to come to church, and tell the girls my toenails are still painted. My companion is being really mature about it (sarcasm). I would strongly recommend going over the attributes of Christ in Preach My Gospel for Family Home Evening, use me as an excuse if you have to!

Alexander's Letters
Dear Mommy, I love you and you rock and I miss you so much. I have seen Joe and Ben, but they are gone now and I have so much longer here. Haven't really used the Tony's that much. (Tony Chachere's Cajun Seasoning). The scripture study... I love it and we read through pretty much every battle that Teancum participated in... pretty awesome just saying, if you want an awesome story about one warrior it would definitely be him. Tell the girls my toenails are still painted... my companion is being really mature about it (sarcasm). Glad you are enjoying what I left you (Alex left his stereo and laptop). I hope they are finished brickin by the time you get this. If youw ant to send scriptures feel free. I will read them. Oh and if you haven't already done this I would strongly recommend going over the attributes of Christ in Preach My Gospel for family home evening, use me as an excuse if you have to.
